Our Story
Matthew Brasher founded Treecycle Pros from third-generation urban forest roots to restore wooded lots the right way. The work is honest, and it is delivered by a professional, courteous crew.
We thin, manage, and recycle wooded lots in Shelby County.
Third-generation roots
Treecycle Pros is built on a third-generation respect for the urban forest. Matthew works with landowners to protect good trees, restore woodland, and make thoughtful room for people and trails.
How we work
We use a light-footprint approach on every property. Good trees stay. We take out what does not belong and recycle the debris.
What we believe
We believe our job is to work with the earth and not against it.
We believe stewardship belongs at the heart of the work.
We believe the creator made us in His image and put us here to maintain and keep the garden.
We recognize that the forest touches every part of our lives and is vital to our health and wellbeing.
We take three generations of urban forest management seriously.
We aim to be a crew you can rely on to plant, nurture, and manage your piece of this forest.
Our logo
The forked tree in our logo comes from Native American heritage handed down to us. It speaks to two paths becoming one balanced decision.
Should we waste what we cut in a landfill, or recycle what we cut and manage?
Should we over-cut in the name of progress, or only take what we need?
Waste takes the forest for granted. Taking more than we need is greed. Balance means recycling what has to come out, and leaving the rest for the earth.
